| @ Tale... ich muss sagen, ich finds auch sehr bedenklich, wenn man solche Situationen ausnutzt, um Aufmerksamkeit zu bekommen... -.-" Die Masse an Links im Zeichnerkommentar darunter gibt mir zumindest zu denken... Ich sag mal so... WIR brauchen die Links nicht... WIR sehen das Bild hier.... also.. WIESO? Im Grunde ist es einfach tolle Werbung auf Kosten eines schrecklichen Ereignisses. Wenn man die Masse an Kommentaren darunter sieht im Vergleich zu anderen Bilder, scheints ja aber zu funktionieren.... JEDER beschäftigt sich grad mit dem schrecklichen Ereignis. Mir tun die Menschen auch sehr leid.. :( Ich hab selbst drüber nachgedacht, was zu malen, aber habe dann aus besagten Gründen lieber die Finger davon gelassen.... Es ist nicht angebracht.... Im Großen und ganzen ist es ein recht hübsches Bild mit toller Aussage. Es hätte wirklich AL-Potenzial trotz einfacher Zeichnung... aber ich glaub, es ist moralisch nicht so ganz vertretbar (Kommentartechnisch)... Hätte einfach nur ein kleiner Spruch oder besser GAR NICHTS drunter gestanden wäre das Bild um Längen wertvoller gewesen und nicht Kommerz-verschandelt... SCHADE! Weniger ist mehr! Ich denke, es wird bestimmt unter den ALs sein.. einfach weil es die meisten Stimmen bekommen hat.... anlässlich des Geschehens von dem jeder erschüttert ist. Grad natürlich auch besonders unter den Manga/Japan-Fans..... Die Leute denken einfach nicht weit genug... Ich möchte mir keine Feinde machen.. es war nur meine persönliche Meinung. Und nicht falsch verstehn.. ich würde Tale das AL gönnen... aber nicht unter diesen Umständen... Ich hab auch schon ein Kommentar unterm Bild dazu hinterlassen, damit man nicht so hinterm Rücken lästert.. mal gucken, ob Tale das ganze nochmal überdenkt..... oder halt eben nicht. Kishi |

| @kishi: ich glaube nicht, dass sie das absichtlich macht. die links sind alle zu diesem bild, nur halt andere communitys. es is auch ok, bilder zu solch einem schrecklichen ereignis zu zeichnen, kunst is auch eine art gefühle auszudrücken. schlimmer fänd ich es, wenn sich jemand denkt: ey, cool. "pray for japan" bilder kommen gut an, ich zeichne mal einfach so eins, vllt funkts ja als abo fänger. auf dA sieht man zurzeit nur "pray for japan" bilder. ich frage mich auch, welcher anteil davon ECHT gemeint is... hmm... glaub, ihr zeichenkommentar wurde missinterpretiert... tale is ja eig nich so bekannt und hat sicher nich damit gerechnet, dass ihr bild so gut ankommt. |

Spätestens Freitag Abends kamen die ersten Bilder und irgendwer hat damit angefangen. Ihr Bild kam am Samstag online und ich denke, bis dahin wusste man dann, dass gerade solche Bilder mehr Aufmerksamkeit bekommen. Und dass sie es verlinkt hat, GERADE zu den anderen Communities, zeigt doch irgendwo, dass sie die Aufmerksamkeit nun auskosten wollte und überall neue Abos sammeln will. Generell glaube ich auch nicht wirklich, dass es mit Absicht passiert ist, was im Kommentar steht, aber es wirkt nunmal eben nicht ungewollt. |

| Ja.. wahrscheinlich übertreibe ich wieder.... Ich bin mir eben nicht sicher wie es gemeint ist, räume aber nur ein, dass eben gerade diese Missinterpretationen möglich sind... Ob gewollt oder nicht... Rein vom Bild her sei es Tale mehr als gegönnt.. ich wollt sie auch nich schlecht machen... @___@" Darum hab ich ja auch n Kommi unters Bild geschrieben. Einfach mal als Hinweis, dass mans grad eben falsch verstehen kann. Denn bei anderen Bildern hat sie eben keine milliarden Links drunter... macht mich stutzig.... und wie gesagt.. Wir benötigen die Links eigentlich nicht.... dort kann man einfach nur genau das gleiche sehn wie hier... :/ Kishi |

| Es... tut mir Leid. Also hier liegt der Problem. Ich werde jetzt besser in Englisch sprechen, weil ich leider nicht so gut Deutsch kann und man könnte mich wieder misverstehen... Wenn jemand es auf Deutsch hören will, dann sagt mir bitte Bescheid, ich werde mein bestes geben. Okay. To the problem - I am sorry to have caused such a conflict. I honestly understand where you guys are coming from - but this is really just a big misunderstanding. I won't go into the details of the picture creation itself, I think it's honestly ridiculous to discuss whether I drew it for my, as you've said, "own profit" or to really support Japan - that's for each of you to decide yourself. Whatever I will say to my defense won't have any effect on your opinion anyway, I am sure. I would just suggest you to stop seeing everything with such cynical glasses - not everyone in this world is a good person, yes, but the majority likes best to act with goodness in heart. It's a human instinct. Secondly, about the links - I was and am anticipating SOME negative reaction at the least -- but I was and am adamantly sure I will be able to talk it out with any offended people. Which is exactly what I'm going to do now. The links. Are there to service not MYSELF but the VIEWERS of the picture. I have stressed this a lot of times already: this picture's - as people like to call it - "sudden popularity", has NOTHING to do with its quality. I myself drew it only as a relief sketch at 2AM, after spending hours hanging on the BBC live feed. I obviously hadn't realized this would become some sort of a trend when I posted it. This was a result of my desperate need to respond to Japan - to support the people I kept seeing in the live feed, to send them a message of support - THAT is the core aspect of this artwork. And it's also the SOLE REASON why it's been floating around so much -- Because people are taking the same stance as myself, because they want to support Japan as well and because they believe this picture's message is identical to their own and therefore "worthy" enough to be used as a message tool of sort. And they have expressed that opinion in their comments. The tears, wishes, prayers, shouts, "Japan, we're here", "Japan, don't give up!", it's all there. That is the reason why I'm linking all the communities and websites together - to create a network and to make it easier for everyone to go around and read other people's comments. As you can see by even just quick browsing, the majority of the comments have nothing to do with the picture's quality itself, they don't praise myself, nor the Hetalia characters - because this time, I drew them in the picture not as a fan art or a tribute for the series, but as widely recognizable nation symbols in the animanga fandom, and Hetalia itself as a symbol for world peace. But that's a different issue already. I don't know about you guys, but just reading the comments gives me strength and determination to help Japan. It really feels as if I'm a part of this world support - and it doesn't matter whether I'm the author or not. For Japan, this picture is meant to bring hope. For people not affected by the earthquake, it should further strengthen their determination to help. What I want to say is - I am sorry if someone misunderstood the meaning of my Artist Comment for the picture (probably also because I sound super rude in German OTL;;) but I regret nothing, because I strongly believe in my original, correct intention. If I still haven't managed to change your opinion, then I apologize, but that is not my issue to solve anymore. Also, if I understood correctly, is this whole thing about whether the picture will get an award on animexx or not? If it causes such unrule and controversion, then I'd rather it not get it... negativeness is the last thing I want to spread with this artwork - and, with all due respect to the award's value, I honestly couldn't care less about my own attention. It would be nice if the message continued spreading in the world, but my primary target is Japan itself and... I think it's reached a lot of people over there already -- I couldn't be more grateful for that. This "drawing support pictures is useless" opinion that keeps circulating around is in my opinion total nonsense, and the solid proof is right there, in the response from Japan itself. The abstract hope and warmth you can give a person in need can not be compared to monetary donations in any way - they're two entirely different things. And I'm glad and proud to be supporting with both of them, together with countless other citizens of this world. | Thanks for your statement, Tale. I just can speak for myself and I really feel sorry for proposing your picture. Not, because I don't think it would deserve it, but because I didn't want to start this childish discussion whether you drew it out of good or bad nature. If I had known that some people were led by prejudgement, I wouldn't have. What I can say is: From the moment I saw your picture I knew that your intention wasn't self-promotion, it really touched me, to be true, I liked the idea that you used the Hetalia characters in that form, as they are personalized nations. But as we can see, not everyone thinks the same. I really hope that people stop picking on you without a proof of their suspicions. I'm just sad that even artists don't see, that they impose a censorship on art by these counterproductive insolence. Ich sagte nicht "es ist so", ich sagte, "es könnte falsch verstanden werden". Ich verurteile Tale nicht.... ich wollte sie nur drauf hinweisen, dass es fasch verstanden werden KANN - nicht MUSS. Kommunikation ist eben keine eindeutige Sache.... Dass das Bild oder der Inhalt wirklich gut umgesetzt ist, steht außer Frage. The amount of negative opinions I've gotten so far really can't be compared to the joy the picture's brought to people - and I guess this had to come, sooner or later, but I've been dealing with everything around the artwork for the past two days, non-stop, and it's been tiring me a bit. Anyway, I really think this thread was not made to discuss these things, so I'll stop here, but again, I thank you for your response and please do not feel bad for sugesting it, you did nothing wrong. @KishiShiotani - Ich weiss das du es garnicht böse gemeint hast und es tut mir Leid wenn es sich so angehört hat - mein Deutsch ist wirklich nicht so gut. | I hope it's not against the rules to continue discussing this, especially when this is about my own picture - but I can't just look and do nothing when people keep throwing their opinions in, even though I expressly wished for it to stop. If this were about the quality of the picture, or a critique, then I wouldn't mind at all and would gladly accept the words to improve, but this all seems to originate from people's feeling that "an AL given to a simple artwork like this would be unfair." - even for people who disagree with this, just by reading this type of comments, they feel as if the picture itself gets spoiled. So please, stop it. Innocence herself who has voted for it said she would rather take it back. I hope this is fair enough for you. @Lukiya I won't say anything to defend the picture's worth for the AL award - in the end, it's the admins' opinions that count and I believe they have to decide for themselves, regardless of anyone's suggestions or feedback. You're expressing your opinion on a public forum, so I presume you want people to respond to you. - Some of the Japanese internet users have expressed a similar opinion to yours - but it actually concerned pictures where the situation was displayed in an distasteful manner - pictures of Hetalia's Japan in a disastrous situation, or being helped by an other nation in a romantic sense-- or artworks displaying the tragedy itself, be it in animanga style or any other art form. They were glad for the support ones - the ones that were MEANT TO BRING HOPE AND SMILES. As you probably already know, the prime example of this are the Japanese mangakas themselves who at this moment are drawing support sketches and posting them on twitter. I've discussed this with an English fandom community already, about whether my own submission could be ranked under the "shipping sense" by mistake, but so far have received nothing of the sorts. I myself believe there's no way it could be misunderstood in that way - but being the author, the opinion doesn't have much worth, does it... So let me ask you - what exactly is wrong or with trying to express your compassion and support to a country in need through art? Isn't that what illustrations are primarily meant to do - transfer messages through visual symbols? Why would it be considered disrespectful when done in a tasteful manner? I'm not just reffering to myself right now, in fact, this is directed to all the artworks, worse or better on this world by people, who have good intentions. --- At one side, I'm glad the picture got so "popular". For reasons already explained. At the other side, I'm aware that this "popularity" always inevitably comes with people who just can't overcome their own cynism towards goodness, or worse, people who are plainly envious. I'm sure this time, it's the first case, because if we took the artwork out of it context just like you are suggesting - then I honestly can't think of a reason why anyone would be envious of a sketch like this. I selfishly admit regretting not anticipating the wave of attention, haha... at least I could've worked on making it a bit more worthier of it. Well, what's done is done! This is my opinion. |

| *Müde ins Forum schleich* Die Favoriten folgen morgen, Aiko ist grad zu erschlagen und trifft den Knopf nicht mehr. Das Hetalia-Fanart haben sich sehr viele von euch gewünscht, ich war etwas überrascht und habe gar nicht realisiert, dass es um die Katastrophe in Japan ging. Hetalia ist sehr beliebt und so dachte ich, dass es wegen des Fandoms gewünscht wurde. In der Auswahl waren aber noch sooooo viele andere gute Fanarts, vorallem von neuen oder recht unbekannten Zeichnern, also habe ich mich dagegen entschieden. Ob es pietätslos ist, solche Bilder zum Al zu wählen... mir fällt hierzu keine Antwort ein. Höchstens die sehr bestimmte, dass man nicht darauf hoffen sollte, mit diesem Thema am ehesten zum Al gewählt zu werden, was bei dem Fanart ja ausdrücklich nicht der Fall war. Sofern ich nicht zu döselig war, um mal wieder Zeichner zu wählen, die noch ind er Frist sind oder was auch immer, sind die neuen AL nun da! *Fahne schwing* Guckt sie euch an :) *ins Bett plumps* |
