...not.

I bet not even Himchan knew why he had decided to bake a cake and to involve all of us not matter if we wanted to or not. We could have done a lot of things on this nice day off. If we had had the possibility to vote, most of us would have ended in sleeping all day long in order to get some rest. But no, Himchan had spoken and he was willing to force us through this struggle.

So that was the reason why we had had all gathered in the kitchen of our dorm looking rather displeased at the guy with the short black hair who was holding a book in his hand and reading recipes aloud in front of us. He seemed so much into it that Daehyun and Youngjae were obviously planning on just sneaking out of the kitchen. Jongup and Zelo were quietly listening and didn't show any sign of disobedience, though they also didn't look too pleased. This wasn't because of Himchan's authority or anything, this was simply because they wanted to eat cake. Himchan didn't really have any authority when it came to things like keeping house and therefore cooking or cleaning. Yet we still did what he said because he didn't only gently demand those things. He could be such a nagging and annoying bitch. Honestly. You wouldn't get rid of him until he got what he had asked of.

Just as Youngjae and Daehyun were about to scram, Himchan put the cookbook onto the counter with a loud bang. Both refugees cringed and froze at the loud noise, then slowly turned back to Himchan who only gave them a confused look, not understanding what they were doing. The whole situation made me grin. However, the so-called ulzzang seemed to pretty fast forget about them anyway just to present his splendid choice to us.

“I think we should do this one,” Himchan suggested, pointing onto some kind of... marble cake? I saw Zelo opening his mouth to protest and I reckon that he would have said something like that the cake looked far too little like his imagination of a delicious pie. He was, however, cut off right away before he could even say anything.

“Hyung, don't you think that six people trying to bake a cake are a little too much for our kitchen?” Youngjae warily asked but only gained an upset glare that made him immediately fall silent. “The more people we are the faster we'll be able to have a taste of our work,” Himchan then replied.

Daehyun scoffed. “Right. The more people we are the shorter will the cake take in the oven.” Zelo and Youngjae chuckled while Jongup tried not to by biting down on his lower lip. Himchan was holding Daehyun's provoking gaze but then suddenly turned to me.

“Yongguk hyung, why are just grinning like an idiot. You should help me!” he accusingly complained. I scratched my head out of confusion and then tried to come up with something. I initially hadn't planned on getting involved.

“You can all go if you don't want to stay,” I uttered with a provocative smile. Himchan gasped and I could feel the killing spirit rise within him. He was going to jump on me at any given moment and it appeared that this moment wasn't too far away from being given. I waited until the main and the lead vocalist were almost through the door frame. “But,” I raised my voice again and made both Youngjae and Daehyun stop, “The ones who won't help aren't going to get any piece of the cake. Not even any crumbs.”

“I kind of like bakeries,” Daehyun scoffed again. And Youngjae added, “They engage skilled employees, you know?” He glimpsed at Himchan and then looked at me. I smirked in response while Himchan had fallen completely silent but I could feel his glare like knifes, trying to dagger me from behind. It amused me. He usually gets what he wants but that time it seemed like he would have to admit his defeat. I guess, his plans had been foredoomed to fail.

“Are you intending to go to the bakery?” Junhong innocently asked, his eyes wide in excitement because he loved that food at least as much as Daehyun did. Although we didn't get to eat it since we had been told to take greatly care with our weight. However, I think it was okay if it was just once in a while. Moreover, we were practising enough to get rid of those excess calories.

The lead and the main vocalist looked at each other, then at Zelo again. “I guess so,” Daehyun answered. The maknae immediately scurried across the room to join his hyungs with an overly happy expression decorating his face. “I want to eat chocolate gateau!” he cheered while the three of them were quitting the room, leaving a depressed ulzzang, an indecisive Jongup and me.

“Daehyun-ah, Youngjae-ah, Junhong-ah! That's not fair at all!” Himchan shouted, regaining his voice. He was waving his hands around and nearly stroke me but he apparently didn't care. “Ah, hyung,” Jongup suddenly said like he had only just awoken, “Don't be upset. I'm going to follow them. I'm really sorry.” And then he dashed out of the room without giving neither Himchan nor me any chance to react.

So only the two of us remained. I got my vision off the door where everyone had been vanished through and looked at Himchan again. A huge smile was gracing his face somehow and I was wondering how that had happened.

“What's wrong, Himchannie?” I asked and I couldn't hide my confusion. “This is better than baking a cake,” he answered mischievously snickering, “A whole lot better.” I frowned as he eyed me and brightly smirked.

“All the kids are gone.” And then he came up to me.
