| My contribution for the Ancient Rituals prompt for Drawtober! This time I did some research on occults. Like for many artworks I recently try to learn some facts before jumping into a painting to make it sort of more believeable and to understand the subject matter a bit more. However, finding stuff around Baphomet was tough. Some say he is a religious figure, some say, he is just made up to cover up crusaders in the middle east changing their religion. So I wondered what it would look like if people would actually summon him with the sigil of Baphomet. I think, if I had more time for this image, I would learned a new style for that but on the other hand, the mixture of Diablo and a cartoonesque style also works in my opinion. Especially Baphomet and all his little details was very fun to paint. To cover up his chest (as I am not sure if this is appropriate for instagram) I changed his position. |
