| Name: Serenity Varjoterae Race: Elf Age: 2762 Height: 1,80 m/5.9’ Occupation: Thief Weapon: Rapier and Blinding Magic History: It was night when they attacked She was just a little girl back then; about 10 years only when their village near the borders got overrun by the Areans and her parents killed by a commander who still goes by the name 'Blindeye'. Serenity's father lost his life in a one-on-one combat against him and her mother was no match for the commander either. Only Serenity got spared by him for a reason she didn't knew for a long time. One with the shadows Almost no one survived the attack and the village was burned to the ground. The surviving people had no other choice than to head from Falken-Harbor to the next town at Valhalla-Grounds to seek shelter and try to build a new life there. Serenity, however, had no chance to find something like work at the army supporting towns as a little girl and lived on the streets, hiding in the shadows. Her only chance to survive was to learn how to become invisible and steal food and other minor things to live. She got better with time and became an acceptable thief, also discovering how to use the blinding magic she inherited from her mother, until one day she got careless and caught by a Caelian soldier. But instead of taking her to the town guards he took her with him, noticing her potential, and taught her how to fight with a rapier and use her blinding magic more effective. Two sides of a coin When Serenity got older and her master didn't return from war, she left the home he gave her and started her journey through Ares to find the man who had killed her parents so many years ago. The wish to seek revenge never let go off her and it took her about 200 years to find him. Challenging him to a fight she could not win, Serenity at least got the answers to the questions she had ever since the attack on her village. The commander broke to her that he had attacked for a personal reason: seeking revenge on his own father who had betrayed the Arean army and him; and who also happened to be her father, making the two of them half siblings and the reason he had spared her. Today When Serenity lost the fight against her half brother seriously wounded, he sent her back to Caelius with the promise to kill her the next time if they would ever meet on the battlefield. Only shortly after she had recovered, Caelius and Ares had been locked into their prisons for a thousand years. After the release of the two factions, Serenity still seeks for revenge on her half brother and longs for the day she will be ready to kill him. Personality: An overall generous and nice person yet very introverted. She prefers to work alone and keeps others out of her business. She never reveals much of herself and avoids deeper digging questions or conversations. She will simply switch subject when she notices someone tries to find out more about her. Abilities: Not a master of sword art at all, Serenity is still a skilled and advanced fighter with the rapier. Her main attacks are not heavy but fast and deal medium damage. Her blinding magic is only used to support her stealth abilities and deal no damage at all, yet they are still very helpful to avoid incoming attacks. Spells: - Blinding Powder: Blinds foes in a small area with smoke for a moment Primary Spell - Shadow Refuge: Grants stealth five heartbeats long, making her invisible for enemies Secondary Spell - Smoke Bomb: Nearby foes get blinded by a smoke cloud ten heartbeats long - Shadow Screen: A smoke screen looking like dancing shadows block incoming projectiles for seven heartbeats long Attacks: - Shadow Slash: Quickly slashes her foes repeatedly 3 heartbeats long Primary Spell - Backstab: Evades an attack to get behind her foe for a backstab Secondary Spell - Shadow Leap: Leaps over a small distance to attack Likes: - Silence - Animals Dislikes: - Being social Relationships: - Lucien: Even though she hates him with a passion, Serenity can't deny that she also loves him somehow. Within the past half year they were forced to work together against the rift monsters and countless other threats, yet she still wants to kill him to finally make peace with her past. _______________________________________________________ The drawing for the app has been finished months ago but I had no time to work on the written part of her app for a long while.
