Summary Intro
Miyu Kozuki is a typical girl thrust into an atypical situation (aren't they all?). Her mother is chosen to go to the United States to work for NASA as an astronaut, and so she leaves with Miyu's father, leaving their daughter to live in Japan. Having no choice in the matter, the girl is sent to a temple to live with Mr. Saionji and his son, Kanata, a boy about Miyu's own age. Almost as soon as Miyu arrives, Mr. Saionji leaves on a trip to India, leaving the two children alone. Being thrust together unwittingly and with no choice, the two constantly argue ... until a small UFO crashes into the temple. In it they discover the small baby Ru and his Sitter-Pet, Wannya, who, sucked up by an odd spatial phenomenon, crashed on Earth from their own planet Otto. Since their craft can no longer fly, the two now stay with Miyu and Kanata until help can come from home.

Noted Characters
Here are a few of the main characters in this manga series. I might add other characters later on, when I have the time.

Name: Miyu Kozuki
Infosnip: Miyu's parents left her alone in Japan when they received jobs at NASA and went to the United States. She now lives at a temple with Kanata, the alien baby Ru, and Ru's Sitter-Pet, Wannya.

Name: Kanata Saionji
Infosnip: Kanata is the class President, and the most sought-after boy by the girls in the school. He wasn't too happy when he learned that Miyu was to stay with him and his father in the temple, and was especially miffed when his father suddenly leaves the two alone.

Name: Ru
Infosnip: Ru is the little alien baby boy from the planet Otto. He has telekinetic abilities, and combine that with his curious nature, and you get a child who is constantly getting into trouble because of them.

Name: Wannya
Infosnip: This overlarge bipedal feline-type ... character ... is Ru's Sitter-Pet, a creature that is meant to take care of a baby. He can change form, but tends to keep his tail when he does.

Interested in Buying?
I currently cannot find any place that offers this series. If you're really bent on owning this cute series, try asking Sasuga Books if they can special order it for you.

To get issues or subscriptions to Nakayosi magazine itself, try either of these two places:

Sasugabooks.com -- Pay-one-price 6- or 12-month subscriptions. Issues will arrive roughly a week after publication (i.e. July's would come a week into June). Accepts credit card or money order. (recommended)

Wizzywig's - 6- or 12-month subscriptions. Charged monthly, as their prices change each month based on the exchange rate between USD and the Japanese Yen. Average monthly price is anywhere from $7-9 US. Shipping ranges from $3-8 per month, depending on where you live in the US or Canada, as well as what shipping option you choose. Magazine usually comes halfway through the month its published for (IE, July's would come halfway into July) (my subscription is through this store)

Animé?
Daa! Daa! Daa! has been animated and was shown on Japanese television from March 28, 2000 - February 26, 2002.
