Pure Vengeance - A Devil May Cry Fanfiction

Chapter 1

On earth the sky was filled with a shining red light, the sun was going down and darkness was about to come. But she wasn't there, was not able to watch the panorama-like scenario, had other sorrows. She entered the huge hall, filled with flashing bright light, a brightness that could never come from the sun that's to be seen on earth. This time she would have prefered the weak glow of the sun that the humans adore, she would really have appreciated it, and that did not happen too often.

The hall was really giant, it was held by large pillers of stone and the floor was reflecting the bright light coming from between them. The tall, wooden gate opened and she walked past the frightening grand objects and all the glamour but she didn't care. She didn't bother to even look at what other people would have stared at. She walked towards a big statue of stone, just as unnaturally large as the rest of the hall. She walked, fast and defining. When she came closer to the statue she shouted:

"Master! I come to talk to you about..." . She hesitated. But she was interrupted by a dark and loud voice anyway.

"About what? The stranger? ...... I know you are worried. You should not be. I could feel insulted by your doubts about me being superior. Consider that." ---

" No, master, I do not have any doubts, but..."

"Don't even try to lie. You were watching every single step he made. I must say that he is indeed stronger than I had imagined him to be. But you need not be upset. I will manage that. He defeated phantom, but we have more powerful weapons. And you are one of them, dear..." -

" Lord - I know he beat him. Are you so sure I am also more powerful then Vergil? I am not, but why not go a totally different way? The 'stranger' is strong. Very strong. Why not use his powers instead of killing him? He could be of use for us. Why not try it just like we did with Vergil? It worked fine!" . She was satisfied with the way she had expressed what she wanted to say. She found it convincing, but the little smile on her face was destroyed by an unexpected reply very soon after. ...

--> "Ahahahaha! Girl, you are just too obvious. I might even call your behaviour 'cute' but it is not my will to insult you.". The more amused he seemed, the angryer looked her face.

"But to be serious, although I can understand your desire I am not able to help you. As our rival he is no problem, but if he were one uf us he would be too much of a risk. In heavy cases it is hard enough to keep Vergil. Now imagine an even stronger soul of that kind. I cannot risk the whole plan because of one pretty girl's wish. Remember I own you, too!" -

Dissapointment was written in her face. Her reply came angryly, with a clear mind she would have never dared to talk like that, but she was all lost and out of arguments, just could not hold herself back.

"Oh really?? You can understand me? You don't even have the slightest idea of how I feel!!". She seemed like freaking out and also his amusement suddenly seemed gone.

"Be quiet. I do not accept my subjects being so disobediant!!" - the words smashed towards her just like a crashing flash did, throwing her to the ground screaming. She lied there, terrified, staring at the three-eyed statue of stone, speechless. His amusement returned as he had successfully tortured somebody...."I am busy enough without your trouble. I do not have the time to take care of a little rebellious one. Why don't you take a closer look at Vergil? Isn't he a handsome man? I know that at least HE is fascinated of you.... hahaha....now leave. We have nothing more to talk about.".
