                       Living...not for me, but for you

I'm sitting here outside on the roof
Watching the stars
They're glittering
Glittering like the tears that roll down my cheeks

I'm crying
Crying because you're not here
I'm alone
You left me

Left me forever
And there is nothing I can do
You're dead and gone
You left me behind 

My heart is crying and bleeding 
My soul cries for deliverance
But still something denies my suicide

I'm not able to leave this cruel world
I'm not able to take the glittering razor-blade beside me
I'm not able to cut my wrist
I just can't do it
It's not that I'm afraid

I don't fear death
Why should I do so?
Death can be warm and friendly
It brings relief
But it can also be painful, cold and cruel
It can tear you apart
I know this
But still I don't fear death

My heart is dead
My soul is dead
Only my body is still living
I'm a mere shell

So that's why I'm not afraid
It only hurts my body
For my soul is dead

And so I'm sitting here
Watching the night sky
Thinking of better days
A tiny twinkle of life shows in my eyes
I know I must live
Not only for me but for you
Because you're not able anymore
