Chapter One – Lemon Tree I'm sitting here in the boring room It's just another rainy Sunday afternoon I'm wasting my time I got nothing to do I'm hanging around I'm waiting for you But nothing ever happens and I wonder [© Fool’s Garden, Lemon Tree] Lyn sat in the huge appartement which Xab and she occupied. She was thankful for her free day. The last... months had been very stressful. First there had been the trial against Lord Niref. And he had been only sentenced to pay solatium. Then she got a job. On the fields. That was hard work. She had to work from 0700 to 1900. And she was allowed half an hour a break. Xan didn’t like it one bit. He didn’t understand why she had to work while he could provide her with everything she wanted. He asked her once. She had smiled and kissed him and told him she wanted to work. Now, she wasn’t sure anymore if this was a good decision. But she wouldn’t back out now. Although her back hurt like hell. And she didn’t have time anymore for her friend and for Xan. But he was as occupied in work as she with... whatever he was doing. And Katja as good as lived in the palast now. Her job with Padme was a 24-hours-thing. At least the Jedis didn’t pester them anymore, though there had been an investigation. They didn’t trust Xanatos one bit. She shuddered as she remembered how short-tempered he had been then. A cold hand ghosted over her shoulder. “Hey, Lyn” greeted Xan her. She leaned back. “Hey, too” His presence gave her comfort and she releaxed instantly. “You should stop going to the fields. Your back is tense and strained” Xan said as he massaged her shoulders. “I’ll stop, if you stop” she shot back. “Can’t do that” he murmured, “I’m very ambitious, you know?” “Hm-hm...” “Did you hear some news from Katja?” he asked, knowing this was a sensetive subject. The puddle of joy she was in just seconds before vanished, leaving a cold feeling, “From Katja?” she asked, “Why?” “Well...” he paused messuring his words, “I haven’t seen her for quiet a while” “She has work to do... as you and I” Lyn said weakly. Xan send soothing waves to her. “I... I feel... like I don’t know her anymore” Lyn confessed and more silently she added: “And I feel, like I don’t know you anymore” Xan wanted to answer but his comlink ringed. “I’m sorry. Give me just a moment” he appologized and talked quietly to the com. Lyn sighed. “I’m going to bed” she announced. Xan nodded absentminded. She heared how he left a few moments later and sighed. Then she reached for her own com and after a moment of hesitation she called Katja. “Hello? Oh, hi Lyn” greeted Katja her out-of-breath. “Hey” Lyn greeted back, smiling. Katja had this effect on her. “What’s up?” “Uhm... stress” Katja answered. Lyn nodded. “Err... listen Lyn, I don’t have much time now. Let’s talk later” “Oh... ok” Lyn said and her com was blank again. She switched the lights off. And then her tears flowed. ~+~ I didn't want to write a sequel. I really didn't. But it wanted to be written. So I had no choice, really... . BTW "ample fields" is a phrase I took from Effi Briest (author: Theodor Fontane). I think it's funny.... . Kapitel 2: Ironic ----------------- Title: Ample Field Author: Noemi Tenshi Characters: Xanatos, OC's, Jedis, Sith,... Chapter Two – Ironic Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you When you think everything's okay and everything's going right And life has a funny way of helping you out when You think everything's gone wrong and everything blows up In your face [© Alanis Morissette, Ironic] The Sith Lord smiled. But it was no friendly smile. It was cruel and bestial and it spoke of a world of pain. Darth Maul knew this world a little bit more, now. The Sith Lord hadn’t taken his failure kindly. His body still twisted with the pain he had endured. But he kneeled proudly before his Lord, determind not to disappoint him again. “I want Xanatos duCrion” the menace creature hissed, “I want him... dark again!” Darth Maul felt cold. A feeling of jealousy arouse. But he fought it back and murmured: “As you wish, my Lord” Katja sighed, hearing Padmes voice. The girl was sweet and all... but in truth it was a devil. The devil! “Hey, your baby screaming again?” asked an amused voice. Katja scowled. “I think, she waits til I’m a little bit realexed and then she calls me. It drives me crazy” “But you manage it just fine” said Samuel. Katja just simled and him. “Thanks. I’ll have to go now” And she ran off. To her protegeé. “What is it, Padme?” Katja asked and stoped dead in her tracks. “What did you do?” she asked, squieling and pointing to the princess’ dress. The former designer dress from ‘Crazy in Sara’, the most expensive designer, which was deep blue had a trail which resembled waves, was sliced up. “I wanted to make the dress more beautiful... but... but” she sniffed and howled. Katja sniggered quietly. Then she huged the girl. “Don’t cry, little princess. I’ll help you make it beautiful” Padme beamed. Lyn sighed. Finally lunchbreak, she thoughed. And wandered through the fields. She liked the calm and quiet atmosphere. Two strong arms sneaked their way around her. She stiffened. “Hey Lyn” Xan murmured. She realex instantly. “What are you doing here?” asked Lyn lazily. “I wanted to see you. Is it prohibited for a man to want to see his loved one?” he asked lightly. Lyn felt warm spreeding through her. “Of course not” He her and in that perfect moment his comlink ringed. He sighed: “Coming” to whoever had contacted him. Then he gave Lyn a quick kiss and went away. The young woman sighed, a little disappointed. But then again she was happy, that he had come, just to see her. Katja searched the castle for Padme. The reckless child had wanted to play hide and seek. And now Katja couldn’t find her. She had been searching for half an hour. And now she had reached the lower parts of the castle. Something was off here. Something didn’t feel right. But she brushed the feeling away and penetrated further. At the same time a girl as old as Katja was running, like the devil himself was after her. Her silky black dress fluttered after her. Her strange make-up was smudgy because she was sweating from anxiety. Her senses were numb from the drug but she kept running. She had to get away from them! She had to! Someone dashed past Katja. It was a gril, running like hell. “Hey, do you need help?” asked Katja concerned. The girl paid her no heed. Then there were men coming. And the next thing Katja knew she was in a suite on a bed. And a man hovered over her. He had dark eyes but his hair was blond. “Wakey-wakey, little bride!” “Wha---?” Katja looked down. She was dressed in a formal looking robe. And on her finger... oh god! She felt a cold metal, that wasn’t there before. In a dreamlike state she looked at her left hand. There was a plain golden ring glistering. She felt nauseating. She didn’t understand, what had happened. Cold lips claiming hers distracted her from more thoughts... . The girl sat on the shore, watching the sunrise and feeling a deep happyness rise within her. They couldn’t do it to her anymore. She was free! And suddenly that thought frightened her like nothing before. She tried to ignore the feeling but it was no use. She was afraid. Afraid of her newwon freedom. Darth Maul had a plan. But to put it in action he had to speak with someone he despised. He wanted to kill her slowly and painfully. But it wouldn’t be intelligent to do this in regard of the grand sheme. So he didn’t. Instead he dialed the neccessary number. “Mrs Arbor speaking, who is it?” an androgyn voice spoke. “Good day” drawled Darth Maul. “OH, Mister Maul” the woman said, clearly disliking hearing from him, “What is it I can do for you?” “You know Xanatos duCrion, right?” “The owner of Offworld, who doesn’t?” she said bored. “I want him dark. And I need your service to do this” Maul said hissing. Jeanna Zan Arbor smiled. “Let’s get it on!” Kapitel 3: Friends Like These ----------------------------- Title: Ample Field Author: Noemi Tenshi Characters: Xanatos, OC's, Jedis, Sith,... Summary: Everybody has problems with their loved one’s. But sometimes it is just a ample field Part: 3/? Chapter Three – Friends like these With friends like these There's no need to worry your head It seems They know everything Hand on the heart They see how you should feel But oh how The mighty all fall down Heavy in a sea of principles They drown [© T’Pau, Friends Like These] Jeanna Zan Arbor looked distasteful around her. This planet had nothing to offer her – it wasn’t advanced. The only thing keeping her here was the money of Darth Maul. She sneered at the memory of him. And then she began to memorize everything about the planet and the city. Katja sat on the huge bed. Her... husband (she shuddered at the thought) wasn’t so cruel as to--- demand that she do her... duty. He even was so... kind to tell her what had happened. Because after the kiss (that Katja hadresisted) he had registered, that this couldn’t be the woman he would have had to marry. So he told Katja, that she – unfortunatly – had taken part in an ancient marriage. His people and he were part of a mysterious--- Group, which had a little bit of archaic thinking in regard of the woman. So Katja had now to obey her husband. And she wasn’t allowed to leave the house or do anything without his permission. Katja had thought, that because of the mistake the marriage could be declared null and void. But that wasn’t possible. The only way for a divorce was for her husband to dy. She did the only thing she could do. She called her friend. Lyn walked through the city. It calmed her to just walk without a goal. And she needed to calm down. Xanatos hadn’t returned til very late at night. He was cold to her. And so she had to leave, because she didn’t wan’t to argue with him if he was like that. The city was sleeping and that was, what she needed. Nobody to bother her. Normaly she would have called Katja... but it was very late and she didn’t wan’t to be a burden. In this very moment her comlink ringed. She activated it and looked at the distressed face of her best friend. “Lyn... Lyn I have... I am...” Katja bit her lip, not quiet knowing, what to tell her firend. Or how. Lyn was concerned about her friend. She looked, like she had big problems. “What is it?” she asked gently, urging her friend to tell her, what bothered her. “I...” Katja took a few breaths. “I’m married” she whisered. Lyn felt like she was hit in the guts. “What?” she managed to ask. “I... I was just searching for Padme... and then... I was married” “You... you don’t remember getting married?” Lyn asked, a little bit anoyed, thinking this was a joke “Were you drunk?” “No. I was drugged” Silence. Lyn didn’t know, what to say to that. It was such an unreal situation. “Lyn?” Katja asked careful, concerned, “Say something. I... don’t be angry...” And suddenly Lyn felt anger cursing through her veins. Now Katja wanted her to say something. Now that she herself had a problem she had time to talk with Lyn. As if Lyn didn’t have problems. Now she was concerned, that Lyn could be angry with her. “Say something?” she echoed, “Well, I’m sorry, but I really can’t talk now to you. I’m pretty busy” With that she switched her comlink off, feeling like she had cut off the friendship. Katja stared at the comlink. Then she threw it angry at the wall. What the hell was Lyns problem!? She knew Lyn had such moodswings. But normaly not, if Katja was being serious. And she hadn’t Katja told off... ever. A very little part of her knew that Lyn would have to have big problems herself if she acted that way. But she brushed it angrily away. Well, Lyn just had to manage these problems herself. She wasn’t going to help her. Lyn sat down. She didn’t care that it was dirty and cold at the street. She felt, like she couldn’t suport her weight anymore. “Can I help you?” a friendly voice asked her. She looked tierdly up. A woman in her midthirty smiled down at her. Lyn shook her had. But the woman didn’t go away. “Having problems with your friends?” She asked. Lyn froze for a moment. The woman smiled. “Thought so. And I just happen to know the best recipe against that!” Lyns anger and sadness wasn’t as apparent anymore. She was curious. The woman took a funny looking cane and filled a cup with steaming liquid. “That’s hot chocolate. Try it!” Lyn sniffed at the cup and then, tentiavely took a sip. And then another one. And another one. The cup was emptied in a few moments. “That was... uhm, thank you” Lyn stammered her cheeks pinkening. But the woman nodded. “I know. That’s what I drink every time I’m upset. But hot chocolate isn’t everything...” Lyn looked at the woman inquieringly. “If you want to talk...” she offered. Lyn hesitated. But the woman urged her too. So talking she did. She told her about Xan not having time for her because of his work. She said she didn’t want to be selfish. She wanted him to do what he liked. But she just couldn’t help and feel hurt, every time he abadoned her for his work. She talked about her best friend and that she, too, didn’t have time for her. The kind woman looked symathetical. But she didn’t say anything. And Lyn was grateful for that. She didn’t need hearing meaningless phrases like “Everything will turn out right” or some rubish like that. She just wanted someone to listen, to understand. After Lyn finished the woman told her, that if Lyn felt like she needed company, she just had to call her. Lyn reddened again and she appologized for babbling so much. But the woman smiled and said she didn’t mind. She was always alone, so a little bit company, younger company, was alright. Lyn thanked her and then they parted. Kapitel 4: My Happy Ending -------------------------- Title: Ample Field Author: Noemi Tenshi Characters: Xanatos, OC's, Jedis, Sith,... Chapter four – My Happy Ending It's nice to know that you were there Thanks for acting like you cared And making me feel like I was the only one It's nice to know we had it all Thanks for watching as I fall And letting me know we were done [© Avril Lavigne, My Happy Ending] Katja sat in the rooms of her husband. She had nothing to do in there. And that is always a bad thing if one’s having depressive thoughts. And Katja had a lot of them at the moment. She asked herself why nobody was searching for her. She was missing for weeks now! Why wasn’t Lyn already there, freeing her? Why wasn’t she concerned that Katja hadn’t called her? She hadn’t reached Lyn since her husband had taken away her comlink. And that was not the only thing taken from her. Her freedom was taken away. And she feared the day he would also take her virginity. That thoughts were driving her mad. Why wasn’t Lyn here? What a good friend! When Lyn had veeb captured she had done everything she could to find her! The betrayel she felt turned into anger. Helplessly she smashed furnishing. Suddenly her wrist were held firmly. “Calm down. You have to calm down” said a voice, a little fearful. But Katja didn’t seem to hear it. The grasp was firmer now. She tried to fight whoever hold her off but that wasn’t possible. They were stronger. “Please calm down” The voice pleaded. Katja stoped to take a look at who held her. She was confused to see Samuel. She whispered his name not understanding what he was doing here. “What are you doing here?” “Well... I’m your brother-in-law” he said, trying to lighten the mood. But his eyes betrayed his joked words. There was saddness and sympathy. “What?” Katja asked not fully comprehending what he told her. Smaule sighed. “”My brother... is your husband. And if he sees what you did here he’s going to be very angry at you. He has a short temper” he said and gave her a meaningful look. “You mean... he’s goingt to HIT ME!?” Katja asked outraged, “I wont take that crap!” “You don’t have a choice” Samuel said, “In our society the women have no rights” “This is sick! You all are sick!” Katja stated and left the room. “It’s not like I had a coice either” the young man breathed. And then he began to clean up the place. Katja leaned against the bathroomdoor. She could hear Samuel roaming in the room and felt suddenly bad for how she treated him. But she didn’t think that she could go out and apologize to him now. She was too emotional for that. So she filled the bathtube with hot water and took a bath. A good, hot, relaxing bath. Lyn smiled at Zan (she didn’t like to be called Jeanna) as they passed one another. They hadn’t talked for days now so the decided to go sit somewhere and tell the other what had happened. “So, how do you like the planet?” Lyn asked with twinkling eyes. In her eyes it was the best place in the universe and everyone could see she thought so. That’s why Jeanna Zan Arbour answered: “I loved it here!” even if she didn’t mean it. “But what about you and your friend? Are you...” Zan asked concerned. Lyn shook her head. “No” she said cuttingly, “And this time I won’t call her and try to talk with her. I mean I am sick of always being turned down! If she wants to be friends with me she is going to show it to me!” Lyn told Zan this all in a very angry voice. “She hasn’t called?” guessed Zan, “Not one time?” “No” There was silence and then Zan said tentiavely: “Maybe she doesn’t deserve your friendship” – Lyn wanted to say something but Zan continued – “I mean if she doesn’t appreciate what you do... if she doesn’t have time for you... why should you waste your time on her? If she doesn’t see that you are there she doesn’t deserve your friendship” Lyn sighed. “I... that’s... egoistic....” she mumbled but it was clear that she had the same thoughts. “No, it’s not. What your friend does is egoistic. I mean if she has a problem she calls you and expect you to help her. But if you have problems...” The slightly older woman didn’t finish the sentence. Lyn nodded her head, slowly. “Your right. I am done waiting for her” Xanatos was feed off with everything. Why was everything around him so stupid these days? And why did nothing go as planned!? He just lost a big ammount of money and all his mediator had said was “Bad luck” BAD LUCK!? Well unfortunately he was fired the next second. But that didn’t cool him off. And now he was home and Lyn was nowhere in sight. She was supposed to be here for two hours now. She didn’t answer her comlink. Concern was being mixed with anger. Maybe something happened to her? He shouldn’t spend so much time at the office...! And then the door opened. He rushed there, half expecting to see a bleeding and bruised Lyn. But all he got was a healthy looking Lyn. Xanatos should have been glad to see her not harmed. But he wasn’t. His build up anger and other emotions just exploded. “Lyn, what are you thinking not coming home!?” he asked. “What?” she mumbled. And then the words sunk in and she repeated in a much louder voice: “WHAT!?” “WHERE WERE YOU!?” he asked loudly. “Don’t scream at me!” she ordered. That did it. Xanatos pushed her against the wall, holding her throat, almost squeezingly. “I SCREAM AT YOU IF I WANT TO!” he spit. “Let me go” she said, breathing heavily, “Let me GO!” “Don’t order me around” he said in a much calmer and more dangerous voice. “Let... go...” she whispered and was about to add a “please” but she couldn’t. He squeezed so hard she had problems breathing. “Stupid whore” he breathed, “I let you live here. I feed you. I give you money... everything you want. And you have the gall to talk to me like I’m a servant!” Her eyes were bulging. He let her go. “Leave and don’t come back!” “...what?” “Are you having troubles hearing... or do you want to be fucked one last time?” Lyn didn’t answer that one. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. This was not happening to her! And before Xanatos could do anything Lyn left. Chapter five - Inner Conflict Hate is fear I rip at my face in the mirror death approaching expiration growing nearer I'm rotting inside I'm disgusted with myself I'm in hell [© Carnivore, Inner Conflict] Lyn stumbled the streets down. Her vision was blurred from the tears that threatened to fall and her throat hurt from the choking. She didn’t knwo where to go to. Her best friend was... only god knew. And alas she hadn’t the address of Zan. And no money. She just wanted to be away fromm people. So she ran into the forest nearby. There she leaned against an old tree and wept. A slender hand grsped her shoulder. She turned around and loocked into the blue eyes (so much like Xan’s) of Zan. “Oh, sweety. What happened?” asked Zan in a soothing voice. “X...Xa....” sniffed Lyn. And then her friend saw the rfed marks on her throat. Her eyes lit up, just for a moment. “What did he do?” “He...” Lyn sniffed again, “He choked me...” Zan drew her in an embrance. “Why do you end up with people you don’t deserve?” she murmured in sympathy. “I... they are not---” tried Lyn to defend them weakly. “They use you and then they toss you away” said Zan merciless. Lyn shuddered as she remembered Xanatos calling her a whore, choking her. “I’m to weak” she murmured. “I... I can help you becoming strong” whispered Zan almost seductive. “You could?” “You can get stronger than Xanatos. You could get your revenge!” “Revenge...” Lyn echoed. She hadn’t thought of that. But... it sounded good. Getting even with her friends! Zan smiled at the look on Lyns face. “Come with me. I’ll make you stronger” And Lyn did. Katja got out of the bathroom. Samuel had just finished cleaning up. “You want some coffee?” asked Katja, a little awkward and made her way to the kitchen. Samuel followed her. “Coffe sounds good” he agreed. In silence they waited until the hot drink was brewed. “About...” Katja began, wanting to appologize for the scene she had caused. But Samuel interrupted her: “Don’t be sorry. You must feel awful here without anyone you can confine in. And then I come and tell you these things...” Katja smiled a little. It would have been better if I had been married to him, she thought. “Don’t give up hope. I’m going to get you outta here” Samuel said, his voice full of confidence. “Why do you want to help me? Why getting yourself in danger?” Samuel didn’t asnwer but his cheeks reddened. Katja understood at once that he fancied her. “Thank you” she whispered. “Er... no problem... I... I gotta go” He said embarassed and stumbled through the door. “Visit me sometime again!” Katja called after him and shut the door close. Srew Lyn! Finally she had found someon in this hellhole who she could entrust herself to. Who needed Lyn? Xanatos duCrion was furious. His anger was too much for him to handle and it unleashed itself, completely. And now he needed someone to hurt... to kill...! So he, driven by dark emotions left the appartement. Like a menace, revengeseeking spirit he strolled the streets down. Searching. Nd then he felt a tugging. Something was urging him to get left. There, he knew, he would find a victim... . His heart race increased. He followed the calling. And then there she was, the victim. A woman with dirty blond hair and brown eyes. He stood suddenly before her. Like a demon he glowered. She shrieked. Xanatos smiled, drawing strength from her fright. Then he reached out to her lifeforce. He felt it in his grasp, fickle like a candle in a storm. So ease to dim. To distinguish. The woman tried to get away from this man, feeling the danger he posed. But she couldn’t Her eyes were locked with his. And there was something in his cold eyes that didn’t let her go. Xanatos tightened his grasp on her lifeforce. The woman gasped. First tentiavely, luxuriously he squeezed it. As her force dimmed, her eyes did the same. Deth was near. And then, he ripped at the lifeforce, violently. Her eyes widened and a scream escaped her lips. Her body convulsed. It was desparately struggling not to loose its soul. But it was a lost battle. After a last spasm her body fell lifeless to the ground. Her brown eyes bored into Xanatos’. And suddenly this wasn’t just a nameless woman but his beloved. He had killed her. He hadn’t stoped. She had pleaded and begged and he had killed her. But this wasn’t true. Lyn lived. He had let her go. This was not Lyn. He was back to reality. No, this wasn’t Lyn. But it could have been her. And suddenly his anger arose anew. But this time it was directed at himself. He left the alley. Left the dead boffdy of the nameless woman. He fleed from the dead accusing eyes (eyes so much like his beloveds!). He wanted to flee fom himself. But he couldn’t. He couldn’t make undone what had happened. But he could mend it. She was now free for four weeks. But what freedom it was! She had nothing. Nobody wanted to give her work. And she caught herself thinking that it would have been better if she hadn’z left and just married that prick. But then she scolded herself for thinking that. Her wish had come true. Now she just needed an opportunity to enjoy the freedom. Until now all she had done (could have done) was begging for food and trying to find a dry sleeping place. This had to stop. This was no life. But she didn’t know how to stop it. She had no education and after the first week she started to look dirty, obscene even, because she had no opportunity to wash herself with clean water. And her chances to get a job sank even further. She needed a bath and clothes. But where to get those? Her life was getting from bad to worse. Xanatos came to a rest at the large waterfalls. Physically at least. But his thoughts were swirling. What had he done? Why had he done it? Even in the time of the trial and the Jedi investigation he hadn’t been that violent! And the things he had called Lyn...! He needed to find her. Needed to tell her tht what he had said wasn’t true.He had to before he would lose her. He took a deep breath and concetrated. The soothing sound of the waterfall calmed him and he began to relax. After a while he sank into meditation. He let the force suround him. Let it guide him. Where is Lyn?, he asked, Where is she?. But the force didn’t answer. He searche dthe whole planet for her signature; even if she wasn’t force-sensetive he could always find her. But not now. For a split seconde he fearedshe was dead. But then he concluded that if she was, he would have felt it. Would have known it. And suddenly the force send an image to him. A ruthless woman, destroying everything, an insane gleam in her eyes. Besides her two other women. Insane as the first one. Red, brown and black her twirling around them. It with a start he realised the first woman was Lyn. And then the image disappeared. This had been a vision. His second vision in his life. He hadn’t believed in visions as he was still an Apprentice. That was why he ignored his first vision. And that had turned out gruesome. It had destroyed his life. So he took this one serious. He had to find Lyn before she became this... thing! Maybe she was by her friend. After what happened it would be only natural to go to her. He opened his eyes and got up. It was time to pay Katja a visit. “Katja’s not here” said one of the maidservants, “She hasn’t come to work for four weeks.” Xan furrowed his eyebrows. “And why hasn’t anyone searched for her until now?” “Oh no, sir. You misunderstood. She quit. Samuel gave us her resignation paper” “Samuel? Can I speak with him?” “Well... he isn’t here. His shift will start in the evening” “Thank you” he murrmured leaving the palast. He was deep in thoughts as he walked away. And only the warning of the force prevented him from bumbing into a girl. “Excuse me” she said. Xanatos sneered at her and than he stared. This girl... it was one of the other woman in his vision! She had a blank white face, black her and blue eyes, but so unlike his own. His were a hypnotizing clear blue. But hers resembled two dark storms. And the force swirled around her, uncontrolled. “Nothing happened” he replied, buffled from her strength in the force. She wasn’t trained, he could tell. But if she were...! By the looks of it she wasn’t only untrained but also unemployed and in need of a shelter. That gave him an idea. “Do you need work?” he asked bluntly. The girl narrowed her eyes but she nodded. “I could give you work. If you agreed to become my apprentice” “Your apprentice, sir?” She mistrusted him. And ‘Apprentice’ didn’t sound like she would have many rights. “Yes, I’m going to teach you things you can’t even imagine!” “Things?” the girl asked, “What things?” Xanatos smiled, feeling her resistance crumble. “These kind of things” he said and send her a powerfull forcewave. Her eyes lit up. “I need a sleeping place. And money. And I don’t want to be under your control, meaning if I want to go I go” she demanded. Xanatos nodded. “And I wont call you Master or some shit like that. Ever” Kapitel 7: The Thin Ice ----------------------- Title: Ample Field Author: Noemi Tenshi Characters: Xanatos, OC's, Jedis, Sith,... A long, hot bath. This deal wasn’t bad. She had a place to sleep, she got free food and payed. And Xanatos would teach her the ways of the force. Her eyes glinted ambitiously. With a power like that she could do... anything! Meanwhile Xanatos contemplated if he had made the right decision. The girl was the one from his vision after all. And when he taught her how to control her power the vision would become more likely? But maybe it was the other way around. He damned his rush action. This wasn’t tipically for him. He searched the force for an answer. He couldn’t feel any resistance to him training her. He just had to teach her not to give in into the darkness... yeah right. Because this was sooo simple. “When will my training start?” asked Nathalie. She was freshly showered. Now her beauty came out. It wasn’t ordinary. She had long black hair. Her face was porcelain white, reminding Xanatos of a doll. But it were again her eyes which captured him. Dark Storms. “Right away” he offered. Nathalie blinked. Then she smirked and sat down. “Shoot” she said. Xan closed his eyes. “Alright. I told you the basics” “Yeah, the force is holding the galaxy together. We can rely in her. We can trust her...” “No. We should trust her” Xanatos interrupted the carelessly tossed statement, “The force is our ally. You can’t forget that. Ever. Trust what it is telling you.” “But doesn’t that mean that the force makes our decisions for us?” Nathalie asked. “No. You see you have made your decision already. The force only tells you what to do with it. You just have to listen careful” Nathalie nodded. “So am I going to be a Jedi?” Nathalie wanted to know. Xanatos cringed. “Not exactly. You see... I am no Jedi. I... I was an apprentice. But I abandoned them” he stopped. Did he wanted to know her what exactly he had done? Nathalie waited patiently. She sense this was something important. “I drew my sabre against my master” Xanatos told her quietly, “I let myself be consumed by darkness” “How was it?” Xanatos blinked. He hadn’t expected this reply. He felt like he walked on thin ice. But he asnwered her question. “Well... it was great... at first. I felt like I could do anything. But... that wasn’t true. This was merely an illusion the dark side gave my. False security. In truth I lost myself. I became a tool of the darkside. My will was... not my own anymore” “And that doesn’t happen at the... light side?” Nathalie asked sceptical. “No!” Xanatos said forcefully, “Because the light sie merely guides you. You can still do what you want. You are not blinded by anger or hate – for these things can blind you. Can confuse your judgement” Nathalie nodded understanding. But she looked confused. “Let’s meditate together” Xanatos suggested. “Together? How?” “Just let yourself fall into the force. Don’t think about anything. Yeah, like that...” And the two of them slowly fell into meditation, thereby they formed a conection. A very weak one but a conection nontheless. And to Xanatos it felt rightful. Lyn was nervous. It all had happened so fast! After she had told Zan that she wanted her help the older woman git her into a spaceship and off the planet. Then she explained a lot complicated things, whic Lyn hadn’t understood. And then she had prepared an injectioon. She was going to inject Lyn midi-Chlorianer. The very creatures which were the conection to the force! Zan had warned her that it would be probably painful. And that she didn’t know if the experiment would be a success. But Lyn was too dazed to pay attention. And now she sat on a chair. Her wrists and ankles were bound. “I’m going to give you two injections. The one is a painkiller and will also allow your blood to bind with the midi-chlorians. The second contains the midi-chlorians. Ready?” Lyn nodded although she wasn’t. But she wouldn’t back out now. Zan smiled and gave her the two shots. First Lyn didn’t feel anything. But then the pain was so overwhelming that she cried out. Sing along mocking bird, You don't effect me. [© KoRn, Coming Undone] “Samuel” Said man looked up. A tall man looked down at him a determind look in his eyes. “Yeah?” “I heard you knew where Katja is” Xanatos said nonchalantly. Samuel froze. “Katja resigned” he said. “That’s not what I asked” “You didn’t ask anything” Samuel replied defiantly. Xanatos narrowe his eyes. “Well, I ask now. Where is Katja?” demanded Xanatos. His patient was wearing thin. “Why should I tell you? Who...” But he stoped suddenly. With the suddenly unexplainable desire to tell the man what he wanted to know he lead him down. To Katja. Xanatos followed him. He had the sudden feeling that something was very wrong. Why did Samuel not leave the palast? Why was Katja still here? Samuel came to an halt before a door. He knocked. And then he regained full control over his actions. “What the hell did you do?” he hissed at Xanatos. But before he could reply the door opened. “Hey Samu... XANATOS!?” Katja said not believing her eyes. “That’s my name” “What are you doing here?” asked the woman. “I want to know where Lyn is” “What’s going on?” asked Samuel, feeling left out. Both ignored him. “Lyn? Ha! I haven’t heard from her since... well for quiet a long time now. Why should I know where she is?” Katja said, angered. “You’re her damned best friend!” Xanatos hissed. “And you’re her boyfriend. She should be with you!” Katja shot back. “Er---“ Xanatos didn’t want to admit that they had a fight. So he ignored the statement and went on: “So you don’t know where she is?” “No. And I don’t want to know!” “Lyn? Isn’t that the friend who abandoned you?” Samuel asked, remembering what Katja had told him. “Yes” Katja sneered. “She abandoned you!? Ha! From what I gathered you didn’t have time for her anymore!” Xanatos exclaimed. “Well you don’t even know where she is now” Katja hissed. “She would have come to you!” Xanatos said, “I’m sure she would have...” “Well she didn’t!” Then there was silence. “What happened?” Katja asked tentiavly. “We... we had an argument” he said and added hastily, Nothing major” “Sure. So she vanished?” “I can’t find her anymore. And I could always find her!” Xanatos explained, “I was so sure she was with you...” “Why should she?” Katja asked bitter. “You’re her best friend” Xanatos said. “Am I?” Katja whispered. “As much as I know, yes. She didn’t say anything about not wanting to be your friend anymore. But then again...” Xanatos murrmured. Then he stoped himself. “Well as you don’t know where she is I don’t have to be here anymore” and he walked out. Katja stared after the retreating form of Xanatos. She whirled around and walked into the bedroom. Samuel closed the door and followed her. The sight that greeted him tore at his heart. Katja sat on the bed, staring at the wall. Silently tears made their way down her cheeks. He felt helpless and useless. Hesitantly he hugged her. She went stiff for a moment but then leaned back. Just a little bit. “What if she just couldn’t reach me all this time, like I couldn’t reach her?” she wondered. “It’s not your fault” “But Xanatos can’t find her. He is fucking force-sensetive! Maybe she is...” “She’s not!” Samuel interrupted her, “He wouldn’t search for her if she was” Katja nodded. Then she went to the bathroom to wash her face. Samuel followed her concerned. “I’ll find her” Katja swore. “I’ll go out of here and find her. And then we will talk!” Lyns paind faded away. And left a feeling of strength in her. She could feel her conection to the force. She could feel it swirling around her just waiting for her to use it. And that she did. The bonds snapped open. She smiled. Zan smiled too. “A full success” she said, satisfied. “Yes. I want to go down. I can feel him” “Patient” Zan murrmured, “I’ll get you down soon enough. But you need someone to teach you how to use the force” Lyns eyes narrowed. “I can use it just fine” she snapped and threw her against the wall. Well she intended to. But she was stoped. A dark presence had interferred. “So much furry. So much power” it murrmured. “Who are you?” “Your creator. You feel our bond, don’t you?” Lyn closed her eyes. There it was. Glowing purple. A strong bond to him. “Darth Maul” she whispered. This name just came to her mind. He smiled, cruelly. “Yes. Darth Maul. And from now on you shall be known as Darth Mealan. This means lightning. You will be as deathly and quick as a lightning. And than you can have your revenge.” Hosted by Animexx e.V. (http://www.animexx.de)
