| "The birthday muffin doesn't taste the same since you're not around anymore, Dorothy." said Mr. Herman as he looked down sadly to his birthday muffin. For this image I had somehow more of a lose approach and tried to draw a topic that I usually don't draw that often. It's old people. I took a lot of inspiration from the movie up (which is why Mr. Herman ended up looking a bit like mr. Fredrickson) . The colors where the trickiest part on this image. Usually i have a very saturated and warm color palette while here I had to be more muted and had to make the image a bit more muddy in order to capture the sadness that Mr. Herman felt in this image. If you haven't called your grandparents for a while now, I think now is a perfect time to do so! Maybe leave a little hello or a nice message to them and let them know that you are there for them and that they're not alone <3! Lets spread more love for Grandparents! |
