| The sounds blast from afar, slogging through mud, in anticipation. It won´t be long, the Metal Gods are jamming their song. At first overwhelmed, a sight to behold, seas of liquid earth. Slipping and sliding towards the stage, with great mirth. Like flocks of zealots, trailing from everywhere. In drunken stupor, way before four. Defying the conditions, listening to sonic emissions. The bass is in full swing, ever so hardcore. Never fearing the weather, and meeting it with a roar. Onwards with a beer in hand, tripping and stumbling, towards the next band. The masses sway in reverie, louder than everything else. To the chords of the great Ones, that is what you see. Ignorant of neck pain, and heavy legs, standing there like the last dregs. Constantly wrestling with the ground underfoot. Determination, preventing the loss of ones boot. Lastly, mud spattered and tired, we trudge inspired,towards our home, as helpful natives in town, hose us down. marching through the night, we´re feeling just right. Taxing, like many a midnight fling, or a dozen insatiable broads, is the act of bringing obeisance to the Metal Gods. Fulfillment and bliss, nevertheless, is what they've got in common. This is our reward. Riding home pant-less on a deflated rubber mattress. Never you mind, to say the least, a good night, and long live the beast. |
