Fanart: Spirited Away [Ghibli Redraw]

| A little Ghibli Redraw ~ Recently I became a bit unhappy with where my art went so I did a little Screencap redraw of a scene that I really liked but tried to add my own little Twist to it. What is it that makes my art..well..my art? All the portraits I did recently made fun but it wasn't really me. It wasn't really the art I wanted to do. I love drawing portraits but usually of people I love and care about. Of people that inspire me. It sounds very dramatic but drawing Portraits kinda felt like I had lost a part of me that I once was very proud of. So I went back to the roots and tried to figure out what I love about art. What I wanted to learn and which stories I want to tell in the future. A huge inspiration for many artists and also for me are Anime. Especially Ghibli movies. I haven't seen Spirited Away for a while but always loved the aesthetic. And the car scene was one of my favorite scenes as well. So I did a little painting out of it. I might do more anime Redraws in the future as I learned a lot from it. But also try to see how I can incoporate all of this into my original art as well! As every piece I make is somehow a little learning opportunity. |
