I also want to say that his father wins the award for worst parent. To abandon his kid, knowing the situation, and not even have the courage or compassion to tell the truth. To lie and give false hope, so that his child can blame himself forever. And then just disappear! Horrible coward of a man, who probably thinks he is 'nice'.
