Finally - my dream cosplay is complete. I first met Thorin as a character when I was ten years old (which was ... a long time ago ^^°) and he remained my favourite fictional character ever since.

When I first saw images from the movie, I was sad to see they had abandoned Thorin's sky blue cloak and hood which was such an iconic image to me from the book. So I decided to design the cloak myself.

2014 comes with some upgrades. Firstly, I finally invested in a wig, as my own hair has grown too long to use now, the lack of a widow's peak always bothered me and it was a pain in the ass to put in the grey each time. I also have new trousers, new sleeves, ears, and a coat!
