Was in a car accident when he was 4 and barely survived. Haruko suffered a head and hip injury that left him in a coma and he wasn't the same ever since. Developing strange behaviors and talking through his Iwatobi-chan doll "Tobi" as if it was speaking to him and telling him to do things. This creeps a lot of people out, even some of his family members. Haruko needs to be watched constantly because of his mental and physical problems. This role is taken over by his older brother Taki whom he likes best of his siblings; even more than his twins Haruka & Haruhi. Haruko doesn't go to high school because he wants to move in with Taki and instead goes to work as a costume designer for a theater. He goes to therapy then and gets better, eventually even stops to talk through Tobi. He returns the favor as he got better and takes care of 24/7 stressed Taki.
